Rebecca Bautista | Mom | financial Coach
Hi there! I am Rebecca Bautista often called Becca. Aside from being a Wife and Mom to two girls, I am also a Financial Coach and Licensed Behavior Analyst.
My schooling background is in psychology with an emphasis on behavior modification. My interest in finances stems from when I was a kid who knew my family was in financial trouble but no one would talk to me about it. I enjoy figuring out how thoughts and behaviors around money compound over time.
My mission is to help demystify personal finance. Personal finance is personal and it is time to get to know it. I am tired of money talk being shameful and scary.
Money touches so many aspects of our lives that it is important we learn to have a personal connection to it. So I am here to help people gain money confidence from talking, using, and planning around the use of money.
I am hoping if we can change how we talk about money to being more open, future generations will grow up to use money responsibly and with joy. I am still jaded that money talk was not a thing until I was about to get married and the conversation was more so aimed at my husband. So let’s throw that toxic silence out and bring back frequent open conversations.
It's our mission to help people rewrite the internalized story that they are bad with money. Personal finance is not something that is adequately taught at school, let alone spoke about in households without shame and guilt being thrown in the mix. No one is born great with money. (Yes! Even those born into rich families) Money management is a skill and one that can be broken down and taught. Once you learn how to manage your money, money becomes a lot less stressful. We believe that everyone should be open and transparent about their finances as a means of breaking down the taboo barrier that seems to plague financial topics as a whole.
